About Mrs. Schlueter:
Hello! My name is Mrs. Schlueter and we are going to have a lot of fun in math this year! This is my seventh year teaching at Nagel. I have a Bachelors of Science in Middle Childhood Education from The University of Dayton and a Masters of Arts in Education from Northern Kentucky University. I have been married for four years, have a three year old yellow lab named Abby, and am expecting a baby girl in January 2011. My goal this year is for students to make math connections to their lives, be more confident math students, and to enjoy learning math. Everyone will be successful in math if they try their best and ask questions along the way. This is going to be a great year!

Incentives
I will randomly give out tickets to students who are prepared and participate. On Fridays before advisory students will have the opportunity to buy items from me with their tickets. Prizes include: pencils, erasers, homework passes, bring a drink or snack to class pass, choose a partner pass, preferred seating pass and others.
Responsibility Points
5 Responsibility Points will be given each week. Students will keep their points if they come prepared to class and are engaged in their learning. I will subtract points for being unprepared or not participating in class activities.
Math Help Sessions
I am available Tuesdays from 2:20-2:50pm for students to stay after school to get math help or to get caught up on work. Students must tell me on Monday if they are planning on staying after and must come with questions. They must have a ride home at 2:50pm. If they repeatedly come unwilling to accept help or work then they will be asked not to return.
While You Were Out
If a student is absent, they are to check this section of my room when they return. They are to also check Progress Book for assignments. They have two days for every day they missed to complete their work. I have a bin in my room for them to pick up any worksheets they missed the day they were gone. Right next to the worksheet bin is also a bin for their class to turn in any missing work.
