"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing."- Albert Einstein

Hi.  My name is Mr. Preston.  This is my eighth year as a Science teacher at Nagel and ninth year as an educator.    I have coached track and field in the past and have served as an advisor to afterschool activities.  My hope for students this year is that they are inspired to learn new things and grow as individuals.  My wife, two children, and dog live in Anderson Township.

In science you will be focusing on developing your skills to design, test, and discuss scientific investigations on a wide variety of topics:  biodiversity, ecosystems, energy, water resources, weather patterns, and technology.  You will also be learning how other subjects connect with your study of science.

Classroom expectations are the same as Team 7-3 policies and Nagel Student Code of Conduct. The two things that are different is gum chewing and safety equipment:

  1. Gum chewing is allowed in the science lab unless Mr. Preston decides otherwise. Reasons for no gum chewing could be from the result of a lab or activity.
  2. Safety shower and eye wash should be used only for emergency purposes. Safety procedures for labs and activities should be followed by students. Failure to do so could result in a discipline referral.
