TEAM 7-5 POLICIES AND EXPECTATIONS

TEAM EXPECTIONS

  • Make Excellence A Necessity.
  • Students should remind themselves to say please and thank you.
  • Show respect for the teacher, your classmates, and classroom materials.
  • Your planner must be carried at all times.
  • Be on time to class, ready to learn, and bring all necessary materials.
  • Don’t quit - stay positive.
  • You are at Nagel to learn.
  • Follow all Nagel School rules ( plan book).
  • Be polite and courteous in the hall and at your locker.

DETENTIONS

  • Parents will be notified of a detention with a phone call and the student will also bring home a form to be signed.
  • Detentions will be held from 2:20 until 3:15 after contact has been made.
  • Students must be on time, and must provide their own transportation home.

HOMEWORK

  • Homework will be posted Monday on your “Progress Book” Internet account for the entire week.
  • Daily homework will also be written into the plan book by the student.
  • Daily homework is listed on each teacher’s board.
  • Points can be deducted for late assignments.
  • Late work due to being absent follows the policy in the student planner.
  • Late work should be turned in to the “late and absent” work box located in each room.
  • If a student misses a day of school he/she is responsible for making up missed work.
  • Each teacher will use a “missing homework stamp” or "ZAP sticker" in the plan book for missed assignments.
  • Students should spend time at home on homework. 
  • Red Homework folders should be taken home nightly.

PLAN BOOKS

  • Plan books must be carried at all times.
  • No pages should be torn out or folded.
  • Plan books should not be defaced.
  • Please do not let others write in your planner - students are responsible for what is written in their planners.
  • Please do not use coloring to interfere with the writing in the plan book.
  • Defacing the plan book will result in the student being required to purchase a new plan book.

At this age, it begins to be a student’s responsibility to ask questions if they do not understand.
Students are not permitted in the team office.
