1. Contest:

• Highlight all similies in The Pigman in pink and all the metaphors in yellow . All students entering the contest with at least seven chapters highlighted will receive 10 points. The student with the most (in each class period) will win an extra15 bonus points. One winner will be awarded in each class. DUE DECEMBER 17, 2010.

2. Bonus Novel: (Worth up to 25 points) You may choose ONLY ONEof the following options. DUE ON OR BEFORE FRIDAY, JANUARY 7, 2011!

• Read The Pigman & Me. Create a title and write a brief summary for each chapter.These must be typed. You will also need to take and pass a test over the book you've read. (*Please note that this book is out of print! I have a few I can loan out. Also check the Nagel Media Center or your public library.)

• Read The Pigman's Legacy. Create a title and write a brief summary for each chapter. These must be typed. You will also need to take and pass a test over the book you've read.
